What Happens at Routine Dental Cleanings?

We recommend that you visit our office for an appointment every six months. At regular visits, we will examine your smile, take X-rays, and clean your teeth and gums. Examining your smile allows us to see visual symptoms of common dental problems like tooth decay and gum disease.

Using digital X-rays, we can see the jaw bone, nerves, tissue, and interior of the teeth that we cannot see with a visual exam. We can also plan treatments like Invisalign and dental implants with X-rays.

During a dental cleaning, our dental hygienists remove plaque and tartar from the teeth and gums. Your teeth are not the only important part of your mouth; your gums are also essential to oral hygiene. We can provide periodontal cleanings and treatment or refer you to one of our recommended specialists.

If you are visiting our office for the first time, please bring completed patient forms, a payment method, and your insurance card. Please let us know the name of your prior practice so we can receive your dental history and previous X-rays.
